Meghan grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor's in Psychology and master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#2059) in the state of Mississippi and specializes in completing therapy with children, adolescents and their families. She enjoys using

creative techniques, such as art and play to work with children and adolescents. She also has evidenced-based training regarding parenting techniques to work on effective communication and increasing positive outcomes in the home. Meghan has worked in the mental health field for the past seven years as an adult and child outpatient therapist at Gulf Coast Mental Health Center and as an outpatient therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Canopy Children’s Solutions, where she worked for the past three years. Meghan has been featured in several professional articles regarding her knowledge and experience in emotional issues that pertain to bullying. She has been recognized by several judges as an expert witness in the field of children/adolescent mental health and trauma. She has presented Practice Wise Supervisor training to the staff members at Canopy. She also has experience and training regarding various emotional and behavioral issues, finding passion in working with trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression and bullying issues. Her therapeutic

approaches include a person-centered rapport with evidenced-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy using Exposure techniques, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Reality Therapy with choices concept. Meghan lives in Madison County with her husband and children.
