Meet Jerri Avery Gledhill, Ph.D., LPC

Jerri Avery Gledhill Ph.D., LPC, has over 25 years of experience in clinical treatment services, federal grant-writing and implementation, social service program management, workforce development, social science research, and governmental and nonprofit leadership. Dr. Gledhill met the founder of Essential Touchstones, Dr. Alyssa Killebrew, early in her career and the two developed a fast friendship. Professional pursuits have continued to bring them together.

Dr. Gledhill is also currently in private practice at Killebrew Psychological Services, LLC in Ridgeland, MS (also owned and founded by Dr. Killebrew). She spent 18 years of her professional life at the Mississippi Department of Mental Health where she proudly served as the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services and was responsible for an annual budget of more than $21 million in federal and state funding.

She has also previously held the roles of Clinical Director at Oxford Treatment Center in Etta, MS and Clinic Director for Acadia Healthcare’s Jackson Comprehensive Treatment Center. She serves as a regular reviewer of grant proposals, technical reports, and other scholarly works. She has previously served as a member of the National Prevention Network, National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Directors, MS Council on Compulsive Gambling’s Advisory Council, Director of the Southeastern School for Addiction Professionals, Director of the MS School of Addictions Professionals, and other behavioral health-related planning and work groups.

Dr. Gledhill is a previous member of the MS Drug Court Advisory Council, a graduate of the Stennis Institute of Government’s State Executive Development Institute and is a Certified Public Manager and currently serves on the MS Nurse Voluntary Program. She regularly presents at state, regional and national conferences and has previously served as an Adjunct Professor for Belhaven University teaching courses in Management Research, Public Policy, Management Ethics, and Organizational Behavior. Dr. Gledhill holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration, M.Ed. in Community Counseling and a BA in Psychology.  

Dr. Gledhill also provides behavioral health consultation services through Burton Health Solutions, where she has had the pleasure of working with the MS Public Health Institute, MS Department of Health, MS Department of Finance and Administration’s Office of the Coordinator of Mental Health Accessibility, and Bartkowski and Associates Research Team.
