Adult Trauma-Focused
Intensive Outpatient Program

The Trauma IOP is a 10-week program consisting of 9 hours a week of Group Therapy and 1 hour a week of Individual Therapy. For more information, contact our IOP Coordinator, Dena Campbell or submit a request to our IOP Admission Officer, Whitney Quick.

Group Therapy

Group Therapy shall consist of psychotherapy that takes place between a therapist and at least two (2), but no more than eight (8) adults. The format will utilize several therapeutic modalities to assist the individual with growth around four domains that trauma disrupts: Safety, Emotions, Loss, and Future.

Groups meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00pm.

Therapy Models

Experiential Therapy

Use of psychodrama, actions, and activities that takes clients out of a traditional clinical setting, encouraging them to be present and promoting open dialogue to heal from the effects of trauma.


Internal Family Systems (IFS) with Trauma Yoga

IFS is an approach to psychotherapy developed by psychologist Richard Schwartz, Ph. D. that allows for an incredibly visual and in-depth self-discovery process and healing journey. Parts work is a therapy approach that has been helpful to clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, and uses a non-pathologizing approach.


Psychoeducation and Skill Development

Information that will address the impact of trauma on a person’s emotional, physical, and spiritual state. Neurobiology, family systems, relationships, and unsafe coping skills will be topics explored. Somatic reactions will be addressed using grounding and mindfulness. Grief/ Loss will be processed.
